First, I want to thank all of you who are going to join me in my Feed a Family Challenge for this holiday.
Second, I am excited to share with you some updates.
Over the weekend, my sister and I have been brainstorming and planning how this can work.
So we ended up deciding to feed TWENTY families! I am going to use my super duper couponing skills to get 20 meals for $500.00. (personally, I think I can do it for less than this, but everyone wants me to be reasonable with my numbers!) We are going to give them everything they need to have dinner!
We have our first five families chosen and are in the process of finding more needy families.
The menu:
- Bird (Turkey or Chicken)
- 2 Vegetables
- Cranberry
- Stuffing
- Mashed Potatoes
- Rolls
- Beverage
- Gravy
- Pie
- Whipped Cream
- Butter
I am very excited! I am heading to Target to pick up the vegetables today. I will keep you up to date on my progress! If you see any super deals that can help me along, let me know!
Can you join this challenge to feed a family for the holidays? Simply commit to donating a meal to a family this holiday season! You can even donate to a food pantry!

It is Turkey Time! I won’t actually be cooking much this week. We made these cute Thanksgiving cookies today. They are so inexpensive to make and my son loved it!
I spend Friday out shopping the Black Friday and doing very little eating or cooking!
Happy Thanksgiving all!

I didn’t forget about Meal Plan Monday, it is just that we have no plan this week! We have a bunch of activities that will be keeping us busy, so we are going to just go with the flow this week. Bad idea right! I know, I know. I just won’t have time to think about it this week or time to actually cook. So, wish me luck!
