You already know how much I love Rite Aid –  but here is another reason to love Rite Aid. You can now load Upromise Ecoupons to your RiteAid wellness card!

If you are not using Upromise, you definitely should be. Everytime you buy an item with a ecoupon,  Upromise deposits that amount into a college savings fund. The nice thing is you can create multiple accounts under your log in for each of your children.  There are many grocery stores that participate as well. At the beginning of each month, you simply add the coupons to your card. (I put up a monthly reminder)

Rite Aid answers a question for us in the 08/29 ad.  There have been many comments regarding managers not allowing adjusting coupons down to the sales price.

In the 08/29 ad, Gain is $.89 and in the ad it matches up a $1.00 manufacturer coupon. I would make sure you get a copy of this ad and stick it in your binder, just in case you have any issues with the cashiers and adjusting down coupons.

Rite Aid recently issued a new coupon policy – along with that they issued a new internal memo that I found interesting. They are basically telling their associates – hey these coupon shoppers are profitable!  Imagine that!

I wanted to share some of the verbiage. Even though I have a copy of the internal memo, I have decided not to post it. However, I wanted to share with you some key verbiage.

Savvy Coupon Customers can buy $50.00 in merchandise and after they presented all their coupons, they paid $5.00. My store is taking a big loss here.

In reality, the vast majority of savvy coupon shoppers are using manufacturers coupons 49’s and 5’s which are fully reimbursed by the manufacturer. These sales are profitable for Rite Aid.  These savvy customers are to be treated with the same courtesy we show to other customers.

It is critical that every Rite Aid Associate clearly understands our coupon acceptance policy and is ready to answer our customer’s questions and respond to their needs. Our goal is to attract and retain our customers – then to WOW them with our service and hospitality when they shop our stores.

This is EVERY associates’ responsibility.

They also talk about UPR being credit to the store and using more than 1!

This solidifies for me that Rite Aid wants us coupon shoppers in their stores.  What are you thoughts?
