So the olay deal was buy Olay Regenerist Night Resurfacing Elixir AND either the DNA UV Cream or Microsculptin Cream or Serum. Of course I bought the DNA UV cream and micro. cream (not realizing one had to the elixir) so now it doesn’t meet the criteria for the SRC and I already sent the receipt in for the mail in rebate. So I guess I’ll just chalk this up as a loss.

I have a right aid question? I was told last week that I couldn’t buy the quantity of an item that I wanted to by the shift supervisor because it was their policy to allow the store supervisors to set a random limit on items purchased on a sale. When I responsed politely and calmly that I did not see that in the advertisement, the shift supervisor became very loud and abusive. I informed her that I would buy the quantity that I wanted from other Rite Aids and she basically said I should buy everything there if I was using a coupon. I was totally humilated in front of my son… thank goodness, he did not understand as he is only 2 and I did not respond poorly. I just left and made my purchases elsewhere. The question I have is does the store have the right to limit the # of items on sale that you buy? I have never run into this anywhere else… and I don’t want to contact their corporate office if it is a corporate policy… by the way, I was trying to buy 10 right guards and get 10 free. I was buying them to give to our local veterans home as part of a family mission activity.

Shannon,
In the Olay rebate example it is listed to get the olay ribbons body wash. when I printed the rebate form from olay it stated you must purchase facial moisturizers, facial treatments and/or facial cleansers. The body wash is not included. This may be a change from their previous rebate program
Shannon says
@Rick,
Rick, there are TWO Olay rebates right now. You will want to use the one that is posted here…

Just thought I’d mention – my 10/3 SS had a coupon for $1 off 3 Chow Mein Noodles, so you can get 3 for free. Not terribly exciting, but still nice to have for packing the hubby’s lunches! =)

Still not clear on where to get the rebate for 11/23.
Also what is MIR? Thank you.

I just got back from my Rite-Aid and was told very RUDELY that they are no longer accepting ANY Internet COUPONS. The cashier told me that she has worked there for over 4 years and Rite- Aid has never had the policy to accept computer coupon. I told her I was just here last week and used at least 7 internet coupons and she told me I couldn’t have. I asked her to please not accuse me of lying and that I have for years used internet coupons at Rite-Aid. I asked her if she had the COUPON POLICY on hand she crossed her arms and said yes but she wasn’t going to bother with it because she knows it by heart. She then grabbed her McDonald’s drink and started “slurping” on it as she continued to try and tell me that I had never used internet coupons at Rite- Aid. She just would not let up and continued to try and tell me I was wrong. I was getting very upset and so were the people in line behind me. I was embarrassed that she was making a scene. The manager was not working today so I will be calling corporate first thing tomorrow to complain. The cashiers seem to be getting ruder at my location. I spend at least $200.00 a month a Rite-Aid and will be now taking my money to Walgreens.
Does anyone know the best way for me to get a hold of someone to complain?
Thank you for letting me vent a bit.My hands are still shaking. That cashier was like a attack dog.
Shannon says
@missy,
Missy,
I suggest you call customer service.
missy says
@Shannon,
Well I called Rite-Aid Corp yesterday and explained what had happened to me on Sunday.Rite-Aid DOES accept internet coupons and I was told someone from Corp. would call me today. This morning my local Rite- Aid manager called and he DID NOT apologize and stated that they only accept RA coupons!!! I informed him this is not the case and that I would print the RA coupon policy for him. He said I could bring in the coupon I was trying to use and he would refund for me. This man was RUDE-COLD and UNAPOLOGETIC!!
I re-called corp. and the customer representative said he would call my RA right away and inform them of the coupon policy. UNBELIEVABLE and I will still have the same rude staff at my local store.
Shannon says
@missy,
:( That totally sucks. If you want a contact in PR — email me, I would be happy to give you his name. Thats just unacceptable.
Ruth says
@missy,
Call Customer Service, I had a similar experience and one of the customer service employees gave me her direct number so I could call her from any store where I had a problem. When you call, they will take your information investigate the report and call you back. The cashiers and some managers don’t understand that you are actually keeping them in business. They get back every single penny for the coupon plus .08 cents in processing fee. Always bring the Rite Aid coupon policy and if the cashier insists on being rude call customer service at the store while you are in line.
These cashiers are not the ones that have to determine whether you can use the coupon, if they scan it, they computer will tell me if the coupon is valid. There are fraudulent coupons out there and they have to be vigilant for them but if it is a legitimate coupon, they are violating their own policy but not taking them. I think soon Rite Aid and Target will probably be target of a class action lawsuit. In the past month, I left two stores in tears because of the rude and humiliating service that I received just because I was using coupons.
Janet says
@missy, Please, call corporate and also go and speak with the Store Manager about that “attack dog” they have at the register. Tell the Manager what you spend and that you may take your business to Walgreens if you have any further problems with coupons. Make sure you take a copy of their coupon policy and review with him/her.
This cashier sounds horrible and I really sympathize with you because I’ve definitely had my share. She should be ashamed! It is a privilege to be employed (especially in this day and age) and someone that doesn’t have a bee up their bum should get her job.
When a cashier refuses to listen to what I have to say, I just say “okay, keep the product. I will be calling the Store Manager and Corporate”. Then, I leave.
Dizzy Mommy says
@missy,
I had a Rite Aid that I used to shop at, it was horrible. There was a manager there who obviously had never read the policy. She told me VV were Man. coupons, and that $5/$25 had to come off last, she got mad anytime I used a b1g1 coupon with a b1g1 ad, she always tried to talk me into saving the coupon…. I called corporate and they sent me an email detailing that I was correct. I took that in the next time and the manager then berated a brand new cashier, very nice young girl and was teaching her incorrect things. I tried to explain to the manager she was wrong, pulled out the policy and the email and she got even more insistent she was correct. I called customer service, they had the regional manager call me, we both went up there at the same time and after watching (in plain street clothes) what I went through with the manager he demanded a meeting the next morning with the entire store staff. The next week I came in and there were several employees who were gone, the cashier told me the RM did a complete cleaning of employees who did not properly follow Rite Aid rules because they were hurting the company. I guess he gave them 48 hours to shape up, then sent in a mystery shopper the next day and guess what the same problem continued. I was sad they lost there jobs, but they weren’t doing there jobs. In my experience Rite Aid has always been very good about correcting problems.
Janet says
@Dizzy Mommy, Thank you for sharing your story! Seems like in your case, the Regional Manager really stepped up and did his job.
I really don’t understand how SO MANY cashiers and managers don’t know their own store’s coupon policies. Don’t they have meetings in which they go over corporate policies? This needs to be done on a regular basis with regional managers occasionally showing up.

@Carol, Have you tried this one, I did not print it because the bar code did not look like a normal coupon bar code. If you tried it and it worked would you please let me know? thanks so much.
Tina says
@Becky, I tried it and it didn’t work at my RiteAid.
Becky says
@Tina, Thanks for replying! Bummer it did not work.

@Sandy,
I did similar deal like yours but I split it to 2 transaction so I can used 2 $5 off pdf coupon(still work in my store)
Amber says
@Rose, Can I do this and still get the SCR?
Rose says
@Amber,
yes, it works fine for me
Brenda says
There was a $2/1 coupon for the AMO Complete Multi-purpose Solution (expires 12/31/10) in a really old Safeway coupon book. I don’t have the date anymore, but I think it was from the summer one. If you still have one it will make it a $2 MM after the SCR.
Dee says
The AMO Complete Solution is free after SCR, not UPR.
Holly says
I found a printable coupon for Chloraseptic! Simply go to chloraseptic.com and click link on the homepage (lower right-hand corner)! I was able to print two coupons (it’s a Smartsource coupon) and it doesn’t expire until 1/3/11.
Amy says
The other Olay rebate (the one that is going on now; not the 11/23 one) is only for face stuff.
If you do the deal listed here though, there is also a $2 off any Olay body wash in the Rite Aid flu book. That would give you a little more profit.

please tell me where is,,, Sunsweet Prunes (18 oz.) or Prune Juice (64 oz.) – $2.99, get $1 +UP located on the ad

Lauren M says
this doesn’t make sense
Get $2.00 SCR $2/1 Motrin PM, exp. 12-31-10 (SS 11/21/10)
??? Is it a SCR or a coupon ???
Shannon says
@Lauren M,
I am using a new plugin to do my matchups – sometimes the coupons aren’t going to the next line when I enter them.
Melissa says
Wait! $5 off 25? where can I find that coupon?
Shannon says
@Melissa,
there isnt currently a “valid’ link to one.
Rose M says
@Shannon, if we have some $5/$25 Qs (exp 11/30) printed out from before there were issues with that Q, do you happen to know if those are being accepted again?
Thanks in advance!
Shannon says
@Rose M,
Some stores are, some stores are not. It kinda really stink Rose, because there is NO consistency at all right now.
Jenna says
@Rose M,
I have been using this coupon at my store- it doesn’t beep or anything. I know some managers are no longer accepting them, but it’s worth a shot. All my RA in town have not had a problem using it, even ones that usually give me trouble. HTH! :)
Michelle says
Does this weeks ad run until 11/24 or 11/27?
Rose says
@Michelle,
11/27
Rocky says
Hi Shannon,
Do I have to buy the two $22 Olay products in one transaction to qualify for the SCR? I am thinking of splitting them with some fillers to use two $5 off $25 coupons.
Shannon says
@Rocky,
When we had this last time, back on 5/23 alot of people had issues with the price ringing up at the $22 when they split it out, so YMMV.
Rose M says
@Shannon, Also note — if I understand this correctly, and I think I do — that this deal ONLY works if you make ALL your transactions on 11/23. That is because that is the only day that overlaps between RA’s 3-day deal on the Olay products and Olay’s rebate offer, which begins 11/23.
Shannon says
@Rose M,
RIGHT! You know I will update that..
Linda says
@Shannon, But there is also the Olay rebate that runs 11/1/10-1/31/11!
Shannon says
@Linda,
yep, there is Linda.. :)
vwbug215 says
@Shannon, Be careful, bc the one olay rebate says on facial products only… so I don’t think the Olay ribbons body wash will count toward that rebate, but will work towards the 11/23 rebate.
Shannon says
@vwbug215,
Yeap, doesnt work for the scenario I posted I will do a separate post on this.
Vanessa says
@Linda, Just wanted to mention that the 11/1 – 1/31 rebate only includes facial moisturizers and cleansers. They may not accept the ribbons body wash as a qualifying product.
carrie c says
@Rose M, where can i find the mail-in rebate offer that starts on 11/23? i can only find the 11/1-1/31 on olay’s website
Rose says
@Shannon,
I split the deal into 2 transactions so I can used 2 $5 off $25 pdf coupons. I had no problem with the price ringing up at $22/each.
I got 2 free Olay ribbon body washes, free Motrin plus $2 SCR, 2 Lysol healthy touch at $2.49 each plus 2 $2 UP+ and $20 SCR for Olay. I’ll get some facial stuffs to make the total reach $50 so I can get $20 rebate from Olay. Love this deal!!!
Amber says
@Rose, Does anyone know if RA prints gift receipts or duplicate receipts? The free body wash would qualify for the second rebate, but it will be on the same receipt as the face moisturizer that qualifies for a different rebate. It would be great to do both rebates, but I’ll only have one receipt.
