If you are new to Rite Aid – check out the Rite Aid How To Here and Rite Aid Coupon Policy Here. You can also print Rite Aid Video Values coupons that can be used in addition to manufacturer coupons.
You can read here about the wellness+ program. Note: Many ad prices now require a wellness card, so I suggest just having the card scanned at the beginning of your transaction.
If you have not printed the $5.00/$25.00 coupon you can print it here.
NOTE: Don’t forget that there is a LONG ad and SHORT ad for Rite Aid – be sure to check your ad! Items with a star * may be long ad only!

Don’t forget to check back for my scenarios!
* Long ad items.
Julie says
Thanks for the info and example. I really appreciate it. I printed a copy and now I’ll have something to back me up if this should arise again in the future.
Celia emmons says
I am so sad that Rite Aid is getting more complicated. It is my favorite drug store, but if it continues to be so complicated I will have to give up my Rite Aid addiction!
Julie says
I really appreciate all of the work you do. I have learned alot and have already saved a ton for my family. However, I am still fairly new to all of this. I have a question about the Coppertone q’s. I know the week is over but just curious for the future. I bought a bottle of Coppertone and tried to use the manufacture coupon, in ad coupon and video vaue coupon as indicated in post. I was told I could not use both the in ad q and video value q combined. At first she only wanted to allow one coupon but when I explained the difference between RA coupon and manufacturer she went ahead and scanned it. The cashier was very nice but did say they have gotten a bunch of emails about paying close attention to the coupons. I didn’t push the issue because I wasn’t sure. So is this a YMMV kind of thing or should I have been able to use all 3 q’s on the item? Again, thanks for all you do.
Shannon says
@Julie,
See this post .. http://www.forthemommas.com/drug-store-deals/riteaid/rite-aid-using-in-ad-coupons-with-video-values
It is not YMMV, it has been right in their circular.. Hope that helps.
sherrie says
I would call the 1800 Rite Aid and talk to customer service and ask to be contacted by the District Manager in your area. Several years ago when I first started shopping RA I had a few bad experiences and did just that, and I am SO glad I did. I had a LONG talk with the DM – he was more than kind – and although at first he didnt agree with me, he called me back to tell me I was right and apologized. I believe the DMs are more likely to not only be courteous, but they deal directly with their stores and should be held responsible when the mangers and cashiers do not know or understand the coupon policy. Know your coupon policy, politely explain what happened and ask that he/she take care of it. I am sure you will have a good conversation!
Jen T says
@Andrea – I could internet hug you right now.. I feel better that I’m not the only one. =) I’m going to try and figure out her work schedule and not go in when she’s working. I feel like she doesn’t work nights, but going during the day has been more convienent for me because it’s easier to have someone watch the kids. I did e-mail Rite Aid corporate (poor people, I had a lot to say too). Maybe I’m going to create more problems for myself by speaking up, but if it’s me and people I know (that don’t even shop with me), then I’m sure there’s a lot of other people having the same problem with this woman. She seems perpetually in a bad mood. I didn’t want to rearrange my shopping trip around her, but I think I’ll just try to go when she’s not there, and hope that at least corporate gets involved somehow and she doesn’t treat other people poorly. Thanks for sympathizing. =) (BTW, I’m in the Bay Area, California)
Andrea says
@JenT- I have the same problem with one cashier, She never tries to just scan the coupons-she unpacks the bag and checks each item. I also try not to go to her because if the item is , for instance, Kellogg’s cereal and the ad just shows a photo of two kinds but the wording covers all- or has 6 types- she will say it doesn’t match the picture and then I have to explain what it actually says. The other cashiers just scan the coupons so like you,I try to avoid her. My work schedule changed so I am trying to figure out when she is not there at all. I’m guessing this happens elsewhere and that you are not in Silver Spring, MD
staceypunk says
Do you mean one per transaction- to be earned or one per transaction- to be used (for payment)?
Robbin says
My store would allow that only you would need 3 in-ad coupons. When you walk in the store there should be a stack of ads, just pick up what you need and tear them out. You could always ask before you do the transaction. I have the MOST WONDERFUL Rite Aid, so you may want to check.
Jen T says
Sorry. =( I went to Rite Aid today too and almost cried in the store. I brought up my purchases, and gave the cashier my coupons. She’s fine with me until I give her the coupons, and then she calls over the manager and she’s like, “She’s trying to use too many coupons for these items. Look at what she’s trying to do.” And in my head I’m like, “What??” So the manager asks her, “Why don’t you take the items out of the bag and match them up to the coupons?” (Ok, which I don’t understand, because if the coupons aren’t going to work they won’t scan. I’m not sure why she feels the need to be the coupon police). So she acts like she’s not going to do it, and so the manager pulls everything out instead and matches it to the coupons. Then he tries to hand me back like 2 or 3 saying, “You’re already using a coupon for this.” And I reply, “One coupon is a Rite Aid coupon, and the other coupon is a manufacturer coupon. I can use both for that item.” So he takes them back and tries to shove another coupon back at me. And I say, “No… that’s for this item right here.” So he looks all flustered and takes it back too. In the meantime, the cashier walks off, and the manager ends up scanning all my coupons right there instead. All of them went through with no problem so… I don’t understand what the issue is. The cashier comes back afterwards and then tries to ignore me when I ask for my UPR’s, which they accidently tore off at the end of the receipt by pulling off the receipt too soon. Ugh… I almost walked out crying I was so frustrated. I’m not a thief. =( This is maybe the 3rd or 4th time I’ve had problems with this one particular cashier, and she’s fine with me until I give her the coupons. I think I overheard one of the other cashiers say something like, “We always have problems with this customer.” No.. the only problem is this one cashier always makes a big deal everytime she rings me up. And if she’s the only one working, which happens frequently, I don’t have a choice but to have her ring me up. And if I just leave when I see her, I look suspicious.. so what do I do? Almost all of the other cashiers just scan the coupons and that’s it, and they always scan so there’s no big deal (I must have an awesome coupon printer.. lol). And then there’s this one cashier that always has to make big drama about it, and I walk out with my tail between my legs feeling like I did something wrong. Ugh. =(
Jen T says
Ok a question then. =) Is the in-ad coupon one time use? Are you able to buy 3 Veets, have the in-ad scanned 3 times, and then use 3 different cpns (1 VV and 2 printables)?
Shannon says
@Jen T,
I dont know that they would allow that. My store will allow 2, but you need 2 coupons. This would be YMMV.
staceypunk says
I don’t get it. I just came back from the Rite Aid in new paltz and NOTHING went right. Big box luvs were $17.99 and no $6 UPR printed. Pampers were $19.99 but no $5 UPR printed. Natural instincts was $8.99, not on sale and not listed in teh SCR flyer they had in the store. Nothing went as planned and then when I went to return the stuff (becasue you don’t know until you pay if you get the UPR) they hada me stand there like 20 minutes while they tried to figure out how to return my coupons. Bleh!
Jen T says
You can use an in-ad with a VV can’t you?
Veet $6.49
use $3.00/1 printable
use $3.00/1 in ad coupon
use $3.00 VV from May?? (I think)
$2.51 overage
I was unsuccessful at printing the website coupon, so I can’t try out this deal (and I’m heading to the store now). I have Windows 7 so I tried someone elses computer (their site doesn’t support Win 7), and with their computer it printed out the advertisement without the coupons. Has someone else printed it out today successfully? There’s another computer here available, but it’s going to be a pain hooking up the printer to try it, and then frustrating if we go to the trouble and it doesn’t work. ;)
Shannon says
@Jen T,
Rite Aid doesnt allow for overage, so this scenario.
florence says
@Shannon,
I may be wrong but the UP reward itself says one per transaction so that means it can’t be stacked, unlike the ECBs. What’s your experience with this?
Shannon says
@florence,
you can earn one per trnascation.
Dee says
Hi Shannon
Regarding the in ad coupons. In one of your scenarios you say to use two of them (I think it was for the Aveeno SCR/MIR) yet on the in ad coupon it says one per customer so I’m a bit confused.
abi says
Thanks! Also one more deal that I spotted…if you need some new mascara – Cover Girl Lash Fusion (their new one – it’s really good!) is part of their buy one get one free eye products (reg. price $9). They also have a SCR where you get $2 back for purchasing 1 or $5 back for purchasing 2. So I’m not sure if you get $2 or $5 SCR when you get the free one? But either way, not bad, esp. if you still have a coupon for $2 off CG Lash Blast Fusion. Could 2 for free after $5 rebate or 2 for $2 if you only get the $2 SCR!
franki says
there are 3 Veet items in my store – buy the one around $10 to use Ad perk, in-ad and MQ. If you have 10% Wellness discount it should be near free.
The other 2 are 6.99 and around $8.
Christen says
Looks like there is a $2 almay video values coupon too. This would make these 2.99
melissa says
A “wrap?” I’m blanking out… what’s a wrap?
Also, does anybody know how long it takes to get your 10% off coupon emailed to you once you reach a certain number of points with your wellness card? It says after every 125 points, you get a 10% off one-time use coupon that will be emailed to you. I reached that last week but haven’t seen anything yet. Just wondered if anyone else knows. In fact, I’m at 250 points and don’t remember getting one for the first 125 either. Thanks!
Shannon says
@melissa,
it is a small ad “wrapped” around the larger ad.
Simply Sarah says
I didn’t get a wrap. Here’s the best deals I see in my short ad (or medium ad as Melissa put it above becuase i feel i got a mix of stuffs too).
$2.99 Crest ProHealth Sensitive- $2.99 w/ $2.99 SCR
4/$20 John Freida get a $10 UPR
Tresemme $3.99 get a $1 UPR
we have VEET as BOGO not as $6.49 and a few other items like that.
Question though… Can you roll UPRs? Example- Can I buy 4 John Friedas, get the $10 UPR and then use it to pay for another 4 John Freidas?
Shannon says
@Simply Sarah,
yep ROLLING!
melissa says
My ad has some of the “long ad” stuff posted in it but not all. For example, it has the Crest Toothpaste, but not the white strips. It has the Tresseme but not the Veet or the other razors. Is there a “medium” ad or what’s the deal? Seriously bummed about the stuff I’m missing out on…
Shannon says
@melissa,
Did you get a wrap? There is also a wrap this week.
Sandra says
I’m wondering if anyone in the Philadelphia, Baltimore, DC, or Fredericksburg, VA areas got the long add. I’m going to be traveling a lot this week around theses areas and could stop in if I could get free white strips for a bridal shower pampering gift.
Shannon says
@Sandra,
The Philly stores vary drastically .
lib says
Can I also sign up my husband for the SCR with same address and both of us receive rebates?
Shannon says
@lib,
No.
Jan says
Shannon,
Only the Sensitive Shield Crest Pro-Health qualifies you for the rebate.
Almost made the mistake this morning.
Only the 8fl oz/237mL Crest 3D Rinse qualifies you for the +UP Reward….almost made the mistake this morning.
Diana says
Just wanted to say my Rite Aid will give overage–so I can use all three coupons (a manu, a VV, and any in-ad coupons) without any problems. I have had them pay ME 2 cents after a transaction, as a matter of fact. Usually I just buy something I need to absorb the overage, though.
Shannon says
Diana,
Thanks but because Rite Aids official policy is that they don’t, I do not encourage readers to do this.
Sandy says
Ok silly question but I get confused with these BOGO deals. On the M&M’s, Rite Aid has them for BOGO plus there is that BOGO coupon in the paper. So you can use their sale plus ONE coupon and end up with 2 M&M’s for free? Do I read that right? I just get so confused with those circular kinds of deals. Mental block – bear with me :) Thank you Shannon!
Shannon says
@Sandy,
Yep.. you get two free!
Amy F says
woul someone please reply to post 14? I’m in the same boat as Meg.
TIA!!!
Dee says
Wellness coupons for shaving, household and snacks just got emailed out too! Makes the venus deal even sweeter!
Angel says
Don’t forget about the $3 Coppertone VV coupon…makes it a pretty good deal!
Sandra says
It looks like we are in the short ad area :( I would love to get some of the stuff from the long add. Do you know of an easy way to find what stores are offering the long add sales? We will be traveling through a few states so I might pass one of the lucky stores :)
Shannon says
@Sandra,
I am not sure how you could find out, unless you know specifically which Rite Aids and maybe check their ad online.
Dee says
Shannon answered that question above. Rite Aid’s version of ECBs
Mel says
Sorry- I am not sure what Nicole’s post meant… For both Clearasil and Veet I have the MQ, VV and now the in ad. Can I use all three?
Also, On what page is the Crest 3d? I can’t seem to find that anywhere!
Shannon says
@Mel,
The crest is the wrap around.
You will not be able to use all three because they are more than the value of the item. 99% of Rite Aids do not adjust.
Michelle says
Newbie here – what does UPR stand for? Great scenarios – thanks so much!
Shannon says
@Michelle,
http://www.forthemommas.com/drug-store-deals/riteaid/rite-aid-what-is-an-up-reward
Mel says
Could you please explain this further- perhaps using the Veet or Clearasil deal? I have all three coupons and I’m new to this (and have managed to mess up just slightly each time I attempt a deal).
Shannon says
@Mel,
I am not sure what you mean?
Meg says
Since this week begins the July SCRs should I go ahead and request my payment for June SCR? I am just starting to shop at Rite Aid so I’m new to all of this!
Shannon says
@Meg,
June SCRs are over. Once you have entered all your receipts, you can request.
Meg says
So am I correct in thinking that I can do the John Frieda deal and receive the $10 UPR more than once? I’m still a little foggy on the UPRs. This is such a good MM, it would be great to be able to do it a couple times.
Shannon says
@Meg,
YES! YES! YES!
Nicole says
If you have a manufacturers coupon and a rite aid coupon, they will take the full price for the manufact coupon and price modify the RA coupon to the price left on the product. We can not price modify an UP Rewards, Wellness or in-ad coupon, but video value ones we can.
Shannon says
@Nicole,
Most stores won’t even modify at all.
Valerie says
Does anyone know if the wrap around will be on the short ad? If it isn’t I’m going to seriously miss out on some deals!
Laura :) says
Woo hoo! Excited for this week at Rite Aid!
Shannon says
@Laura :),
Meeeeeee Tooooo !weeeee!
Kate says
So the up is like ecb right? Does that mean I can use multiple up rewards in one transaction like I can with ecb when I purchase?
Shannon says
@Kate,
Yes, but you cannot get more than one for an item in a transaction.
Dee says
The banana boat is part of the skin care SCR too.
Lauren Manzer says
Isn’t aveeno on sale this week? and for veet couldn’t you use the video values coupon or not since it would be over the actual cost? now that i say that i think i remember no overage on coupons at Rite Aid.
Shannon says
@Lauren Manzer,
Aveeno is not on sale, but I did a post for Aveeno using the rebate and in ad coupon.
Shannon says
No to the veet overage , like you said :)
Diana says
So are there deals on two different Crest 3D White Strips? The 28-ct and then a smaller one that costs $22.99?
Shannon says
@Diana,
Yep!
Josie says
I know this maybe a long shot but would it be possible to use the ad perk coupon on the Veet as well? That could make for some serious overage!
Shannon says
@Josie,
Rite Aid’s policy says no overage, so this would totally be YMMV and mostly likely a no go if you got a cashier who even looked at your coupons, let alone a tough cashier.
michelle says
Is the John Frieda Root Awakening and the John Frieda Hair Care the same UPR?
Shannon says
@michelle,
Yes.
Jenna says
There is a $1 John Frieda video values coupon from May. Its for sheer blonde so if you use (4) $2 off mq, (4) $1 video values coupons,(if your store allows more than one, I’ve never had a problem at my rite aid) the $5/$20 and 2 of the $1/$10 hair care you’d pay $1 plus tax and get the $10 up rewards = $9 money maker! :) If you have any up rewards from last week for $2 or under you could use them and pay change for it all. I’m excited about this one! I’ve got enough root awakening my roots aren’t gonna need any for a while! Haha. Sheer blonde here I come! Thanks for the great deals!
Shannon says
@Jenna,
You cannot use 4 $1.00 video Values in one transaction per the VV Coupon Policy.
Jen T says
I’m always excited to see the Rite Aid and CVS deals – Rite Aid in particular. =) Very good deals!
Claire says
I’m sorry, I’m sure you’ve explained this a hundred times but what is UPR? thank you!!!
Shannon says
@Claire,
UPR is Rite Aid’s version on ECB’s
