I had some UPR to burn this week, that were about to expire soon. We are going to a football party today – GO EAGLES… so I used them to buy soda for the party.
Limit Updates:
Oral B: Atleast 2
Crest: Atleast 4 (now, someone emailed me that they bough 17 and got 17 Rewards – I am not judging, the store could have had 200. However, my store had about 50 tubes of toothpaste – and if you are buying 17 in one shot thats not nice. Be kind and remember your fellow shoppers)
Nivea Lip Balm: Atleast 4 (mine ended up being a money maker with my 20% discount)
Pepsi: Limit 1
Suave: I only did one transaction and it printed fine.
If you have any updates on limits .. leave it in the comments.

This comment made me laugh! When my husband was in Iraq he mentioned it was hard to get Chapstick and EVERYONE sent it to him. Now, three years later, we’re still not through all his “deployment” Chapstick. :)
Whitney says
I honestly think people like that are making a business out of it. She is most likely reselling the items on eBay. Even those people who say “I’m giving it to charity” don’t have a right to take as many as they want. MANY people are not poor enough to need charity but still could use some free toothpaste now and again!

I’m confused as to how the wellness discount works when items are buy 1 get 1 50% off. I thought the first item would get your 10% or 20% wellness discount and then on the second item the 50% would come off the original price. See my example below and anyone who can let me know what I am doing wrong I would appreciate it. I tried the Nexxus deal on Friday and it didn’t work.
item #1: $15.99 – 20% = $12.80 my cost
item #2: $15.99-50% off for the b1g1 sale = $7.99 my cost
Total = $20.79 before any coupons of course.
Is this the correct way? Thank you.
Jenna says
With the wellness discounts, you get 10% off regular, non sale items. If the item is on sale, you get the 10% or the sale, whichever is better. (usually the sale price is better) Just fyi in case this is the problem :)
coralie says
my pampers rang up at $15.99 instead of the $19.99 and still got the up reward of $10 on a $30 purchase. just had to throw in an extra shampoo to get to the $30 that i hadn’t planned on. so sad, another free shampoo. haha.
Trish says
I’m going to call Rite Aid tomorrow because I keep all my receipts and there are several items that were purchased at regular price and still no 10% off, i’ve been silver status for about 3+ weeks now……In the past I have received the printed 10% off on my receipt but that was before I went over 500 points. Anyway, I did well at riteaid today. I bought 3 pks of Huggies, 2 Razors, 6 8pks of Similac, Aveeno Baby Wash, 2 Nivea, and 2 candy bars for $16 and some change and I got back 2 UP rewards for the Nivea and I’ll get $5 scr for the Similac. =)
Lyndsey says
Ah ok, Thanks everyone! ….I returned the 6oz toothpaste and was given my cash back. I went and bought the last three toothbrushes instead. Hehe.
Yvonne says
The discount is only off of products not at sale price, I believe.
emma says
Help! I’m a silver member but I don’t get any discounts from it. What’s the point of the rite aid card again. Please help thanks
Shannon says
@emma,
Well the point of the rite aid card is the fabulous UPR deals we are all getting!
Chrys says
I think the toothpaste should have been 4 oz, not 6 (if I’m reading receipt correctly)
Melissa says
When you get the UPR’s are the same as ECB’s where you can use them on anything?
Shannon says
@Melissa,
they have some restrictions.. like prescriptions etc.
Michele says
Jodi yes the Pure and Naturals are included. I noticed they are never tagged but always included.
Jodi says
Is The Huggies Pure and natural Diapers included in this sale?
Anonymous says
Also, even if the item is regular price but is giving an up or SCR the 10% or 20% will not come off. I found this out a couple of weeks ago when pampers were giving an UP on 2 regular priced boxes. It was considered a promotion and the % would not apply.
Shannon says
@,
This is not the case with the SCR. You do get the discount.
Shannon says
@,
actually, thats not true with the UPR either.
I got the UPR today for the Lip Balm and the additional discount.
Abby says
I got 6 Niveas today, and they all printed UPR’s. So the limit is at least 6. I just found another $1 off coupon in the Oct. All You, so I may try to get another one tomorrow and see what happens.
I also got:
1 pack of Huggies
2 Glade candles
1 Crest +Scope (4 oz.)
Used:
$5/$25
3 – $1 off Nivea
2 – $2/2 Nivea
1 – BOGO Glade
1 – $1 Crest
1 – $3 Huggies P&N
Huggies VV – $2 off
Total was $48 and change, but after coupons and $4 in past UPR’s my total was $7.32, but I received over $16 in UPR’s for next time!
The cashier was a new trainee and he was so excited for me! (He was about 16 or 17). He said, “Wow! You almost got that all for free! I gotta tell my mom about these coupons!” Haha! When he said that I was thinking, “Actually, I’m going to make money off this…” :)
Sherry says
I think Crest Extra White + Scope is for the 4 oz so that is why you didn’t get two. I would just take it back and exchange it.
Amanda says
I love when Rite Aid has no limits!!! I send anything extra that i can get to my husband who is fighting for us in the desert!! They love my care packages!!
Shannon says
@Amanda,
Thanks your husband for serving and so happy hear that you can help your husband and the troops~!
Dee says
Lyndsey, You bought a 6 0z. toothpaste and the UPR in only for the 4 oz.
So, the UPR printed only for your toothbrush.
carrie says
I went to several different Rite Aids today so I wouldn’t clear the shelves!
Chocolate is printing at least 3 +ups on the same receipt
Crest is printing a lot, I got at least 12 of them (donation items!)
Nivea will print 2 on the same receipt
Coffee will print 2 on the same receipt
Donna says
I think these are covered already but just in case, here is what printed for me:
Crest: 6
Maxwell House: 2
Nivea: 4
Softsoap 2
All of those might have higher limits since I am not missing any that I expected!
Tara says
I got 2 crests and 4 Niveas today – and the UPR printed for all of them. I also got 6 bags of Halloween candy at 2/5.00 and I got 3 UPR for those so with the $5/25, very cheap Halloween candy!
On a side note, I also do my shopping early on Sunday morning to avoid people who buy everything out! Thank you!
I also want to comment that even thought the Nivea was free at Walgreens today I made the mistake of stopping in there again after swearing I would never go and they were so rude about using coupons and then telling me I could only have 4 of them even though there were over 40 on the shelves (I only had 6 in my cart) because it was Sunday. They told me I could have come in on Saturday and bought the entire section but they limit on Sundays – that was so ridiculous! I am all for policies and limits like CVS and Rite Aid have but I think it’s ridiculous to make up your own wheneve you feel like it! Uggh, just had to vent about Walgreens to make myself feel better. Thank you Shannon for all the Rite Aid – I am truly loving that store!
Michele says
Lyndsey,
I have learned the hard way with the oral care. Now I bring the ad to the isle and double check before I cash out. ;-)

i know ur pain! the rita aid truck comes @ 1 pm i have to work till 630.. till i get there the good sale items are GONE….

I think the % off is on NON-sale items!?!? (I could be wrong…)
Grace G says
I forgot to mention that I also bought the Sally Nail Polish that has the SCR this week. With 20% it was only $2.39 and you get the SCR for $2. Not bad IMHO, a girl can never have enough nail polish! I got the Hot Magenta color :)
Grace G says
I got some great deals. Got some Crest toothpaste and toothbrushes. I printed off Nivea coupons and did receive 8 +UPS for those. My store had tons on Nivea in stock in three different places. Those will be great for X-mas gifts. I also got Glade candles and some Clorox Toilet cleaner, plus Planter Nuts (used two of the $1 off and Printed from Kraft few days ago) and of course some Dove chocolate at 50cents a bag u can’t beat that. Great shopping trip. Received UPS for everything as stated in the ad. I was suprised at all the UPS for Nivea and Crest, but then again the ad had no limits. I wish they would put a limit, just so one person or two would not clear out the shelves. Not everyone can get to Rite Aid at 9am on a Sunday. Also, it would make it easier to keep my scenarios in order of the limits and such.
Jennifer says
It is only on FULL price stuff, which most stuff we buy is usually on sale?
Shannon says
@Jennifer,
no actually its not. It is on sale items too – if the sale item is less than the discount than you get the additional discount.
jen says
My understanding is that the 10% is a one-time coupon that prints at the bottom of the receipt, and that the 20% is recurring once you’ve hit that level. Is that how you understand it?
Julie says
I got Nivea at both Rite Aid AND Walgreens this morning. If anyone is planning on hitting both I’d suggest Walgreens. Theirs are on sale for $0.99 so you don’t have to worry about a UPR that may expire! I got 2 more papers so I’ll be heading back to one or both tomorrow!
Brianna says
Trish, just in case you didn’t know, when you get the discount it is EITHER 10%/20% OR the sale price, whichever is lower. So if you generally only buy stuff that is on sale you won’t see any additional discount. I had to read the fine print after looking at my receipt and thinking I wasn’t getting my discount. Hope that helps!
kathy says
MILK MILK MILK!!! You can always use your UP rewards on milk and i have found it to be $1.99 in my area. We live in Washington where all milk sold must be rbst free (even if it doesn’t specifically say so on the label). This is why I prefer Rite Aid Up rewards over Walgreens Register Rewards…if there are no good deals, I can get milk!
Shannon says
@kathy,
We switched to organic recently.. I wish that Rite aid carried it!
Autumn says
I bought the wrong Crest… 6oz. tubes… The “Shift Manager” did not know what to do… She had to call the manager and then that store manager would contact the DM because I used “so many coupons” that I wouldn’t get them back on the new exchange for the 4oz tubes. The sh. manager was clearly uneducated in math… ! What would you ladies do in this situation? In result I had to drive 15 extra miles to the next Rite Aid! They did it without ANY issues!… just gave me the difference about $3.xx!
Lyndsey says
Oh, was it because of the “extra whitening”? I live in a super small town and it was the only crest on the shelf. And I was the only one in the store about 5 minutes after the store opened. Oh well. Lol.
Shannon says
Lyndsey,
You bought the wrong Crest.. 4oz instead of 6oz.
Just go back and ask to exchange it.
Heather says
Trish,
Also, you only get the lowest of EITHER the sale price or your percent off. You won’t get your percent off any sale prices, only retail price. That threw me for a loop at first too. So, if you’re only purchasing things that are already on sale, you won’t see any % off discount.
HTH!
Lyndsey says
I bought both the crest toothpaste and the oral B toothbrush, however I was only given one UPR. So I thought there was just a limit of one. Any suggestions? Do I go back? Did I buy the wrong thing?
My receipt says:
OB ADV 3D WHT SOFT #48 TB $2.69
SALE 1/2.69, Reg 1/3.79
CRST EXTR WH + SCOPE 6Z $4.49
My UPR Printed:
+UP REWARD: $2.69 off
from purchase of CREST
Thanks. This is my 3rd week into couponing, so I’m still quite the newbie here ;)
Sherry says
Had a great morning. Need to do another small trip this afternoon to get a few other deals. Just wanted to let you know that Maxwell House is printing two UPR’s so that was a great deal. The soft soap is also printing two.
Kristyn says
silver is 10%…i just reached silver status. but it appears that the 10% doesn’t come off sale items?…
Shannon says
@Kristyn,
right that is correct – only if the 10% is less than the sales price.
Tina Seymour says
I didnt get the Nivea coupon or the Schick one in my inserts this week and I am SOOO upset! That is why I bought 5 papers! :( I had 2 $2 off Nivea lip balm coupons and 1 $1 off Nivea lip balm… but I just went to Wags to get them since they were already on sale for $0.99 and I wouldnt have to mess around with + ups and stuff to get it free. Nothing at Rite Aid is making me run out the door today. I may cut some coupons and try to work some deals later, but blahhh nothing looks all that great here in the land of the short ad and crappy coupon inserts.
Emily says
There are a handful of ladies who stalk the RiteAids in my area and just clean them out every week. I’ve had to start making my weekly RiteAid trip first thing Sunday morning just to beat them to the punch! The Olay deal last week nearly drove me out of my mind; the same lady had been to FIVE different RiteAids and bought all their roller ball thingys. I called around and finally found a store that had one, and I had to beg them to put it behind the counter for me. Good thing I did; when I got to the store, THERE SHE WAS in the facial care aisle, looking for it! I mean, come on. How many Olay products can one person actually use?!
kristy says
isnt the oral b and the crest the same deal?
Shannon says
@kristy,
Yes but in the past weeks , they printed on separate counts.
Trish says
Oops, I meant 10%, i’ve got about 700 points but i’m not getting any % off, just what i’m doing with coupons. So am I not understanding the program right?
Shannon says
@Trish,
No if you have hit the level it is automatically supposed to come off. I would call to confirm that you have reached it and why it isnt coming off.
Jami says
GO EAGLES!!!!!
Shannon says
@Jami,
he he :) you noticed that.
carol says
hahaha!!! same here! heading out the door and wanted to check how things were working out first!! thank you .. and I was so glad to see your comment about thinking about your fellow shoppers. Enjoy the extra rewards without being …um …..greedy.
Trish says
This is going to sound like a dumb question but I’ve reached my silver status on my wellness card but after looking at my receipts it doesn’t appear that I’m getting 20% off……so how exactly does that work?
Shannon says
@Trish,
hmm is silver 10% ?
Autumn says
You did not have a coupon for the Oral-B toothbrush? BOGO coupon>?
Shannon says
@Autumn,
he he nope.. those are long gone!
Shannon says
@Autumn,
ps if you are referring to the one from last week, that is not good on this toothbrush.
Jeanette says
On my way to Rite Aid.
Appreciate the UPReport.
Wouldn’t leave home without it!
