Update: I just got back to my computer to look at comments and it looks like shipping might be expensive for some. I just went over and tried an item and it was $9.00 via fedex — sorry about that, I didn’t test the items to see what shipping would be.
Amanda emailed me this great find. If you still have your $20 credit to Rue La La from October (not available anymore), you can get $40 worth of Seattle Chocolate… FREE! You can order it online from anywhere. The certificate will not cover shipping.
You will pay $10 for a $20 certificate, since there is no shipping charge – you can buy 2 with your credit!
You can head here to Rue La La to get your certificate by going to Local and then choosing Seattle Chocolate.
Terms and Conditions of Voucher:
Validity: Voucher is valid from December 18, 2010 to January 15, 2011.
How to redeem: Within 24 hours you will receive a voucher via email for $20 at Seattle Chocolates. Voucher is valid in-store or online. You may redeem one voucher per order. See Terms & Conditions for more details.
Thanks, Amanda

Wow, I wish I would have read your updated comments before wasting my Rue La La credit. Shipping for 5 bars is $17!!!! I nearly fell off the couch.
That was a waste of the free credit… :-(

I can’t seem to find this on their site. I clicked on local picks and bubbled in Seattle, chose Save and still can’t find the deal. Can anyone direct me?
Trish says
This is BAD, I bought two cerftificates and the promo code to use online is the same…once it gets out everyone is going to be using it……for free that is
jaime says
@Trish, I dont even see this available on Rue La La? Ive been looking but where is it?
Karen says
@Laura, they have some shops in Scottsdale that’s what I am going with mine :)

“You may redeem one voucher per order”
Ugg! I made a big mistake. And Rue La La will not take a return. This is not worth $9/order. :(
Shannon says
@Lisa,
Sorry, this I did put in the post that it was one per order.
Lisa says
@Shannon, Yeah, it was totally my fault for not reading carefully enough. Oh well, I am out nothing and the Rue La La credit was about to expire anyway. Thanks for all your deals. I am way ahead in the long run.
Lisa says
Ok, I bought 2 of these vouchers. I got 2 confirmation emails and 2 confirmation numbers. But the coupon code is the same on both of them! And it is the coupon code that you enter on their website. When I enter my code, it only takes off $20. If I try to enter the code a second time, it still only takes $20 off. I don’t want to break up my order because shipping is $9. I guess I will have to wait until Monday to call them.
Kahra says
I got 2 of them. Shipping to Utah is $9.00, so not too bad for $40 worth of gourmet chocolates. :)
Lisa says
@Kahra, Unfortunately, it looks like you will have to spend $18 since the fine print said one voucher per order. :(

I looked into the shipping too. However I put $42 worth of truffle bars into my cart and the shipping came out to $9. I live in California. I wonder if it depends on what items you buy. I went ahead and bought them though. I am going toplace my order tomorrow. I am thinking stocking stuffers. :)
Sheryl says
Haha! In FL I can order 1 $3 Truffle Bar and it would cost $17 to ship!!! Is that a good deal!?! j/k
I was just amazed by that. ;)

Just a heads up . . . I purchased this, put a product in my cart, went to check out, and discovered the “standard shipping” for a product is about $17. I DO live across the country from Seattle, but still . . . that’s crazy!
LilKim says
FYI: shipping on ONE $20 order is $17. They only ship via FedEx. So you’re not really saving all that much :(
Rory says
Snagged it! Way to turn nothing into a $40 credit!
Jen E. says
Sweet! (literally ;-)) I have been holding on to my $20 credit waiting for the perfect item…. and this is just what I need! I plan on ordering a bunch of chocolate bars to add on to gifts. Thank you!!!
Melissa says
Oh my, I rushed real quick to do this deal and I don’t even know what I got. LOL. I know I am getting two gift certificates for Seattle Chocolates and that is all. I will have to try and put them to use I suppose. lol@me.
Laura says
I saw this earlier today and almost used my credit on it too! But then I looked at the shipping charges at the chocolate place, they are ridiculously high! $15+ (at least to where I am in AZ)
