I had the opportunity to preview the “Rock of Ages” CD from the new Broadway Show. I will confess that I am a total ’80’s girl. I love 80’s music and would in fact wear my hair as big as I could if it was still socially acceptable. My beauty regime in the ’80’s consisted of Aquanet and Wet & Wild. Ahh, those were the days.

A little about this show – In 1987 on the Sunset Strip, a small town girl met a big city rocker and in LA’s most famous rock club, they fell in love to the greatest songs of the 80s. It’s ROCK OF AGES, an arena-rock love story told through  hits of JOURNEY, NIGHT RANGER, STYX, REO SPEEDWAGON, PAT BENATAR, TWISTED SISTER, POISON, ASIA, WHITESNAKE and many more. My favorite is Bon Jovi. Oh, the love for Bon Jovi.

So, it was totally fun to listen to the Rock of Ages CD. Actually, I think this will be a show that I will see when I go to New York. Reliving your youth is always fun!

I want to give one of you the opportunity to relive the 80’s while listening to the Rocks of Ages CD.  Just simply leave a comment about your favorite 80’s thing! Giveaway ends 08/01.

I had a pair of black cotton pants that had straps that went over your shoulders. I think they were called suspender pants but the “suspenders” were part of the pants. I loved them and thought I was the coolest thing walking when I wore them. Oh, and who can forget leg warmers?

One favorite from the 80’s? Can’t be done, but I can narrow it to music and movies. I still love the 80’s music…from Bon Jovi to Survivor. And great movies…Dirty Dancing, St. Elmo’s Fire, Breakfast Club. Still remember how cool I thought my high school teacher was when she let us watch Breakfast Club in Sociology Class.
Looks like a great album, thanks for the giveaway.

OMG! I was and am a total 80s girl. I still listen to the hair bands, I still watch the videos and dream of the day hair metal will return. If I had been old enough I would have been a total groupie, would have ran away from home and lived of Peanut butter on sunset. I want this CD!!!

I really really would love to see this play. It sounds like a lot of fun. I’m not an 80’s girl, so I can’t really say what I loved THEN but nowadays, I do like the music and the movies. Some of my favorites are from the 80’s. They don’t really make certain things like they did in the 80’s when it comes to films.

Although I was born in the 80’s I grew up listening to all those big hair bands and still love them! Funny thing is that my husband and I don’t agree on much music but we definately do on this. Thanks for the giveaway. Would be cool if I won!

Okay, I was a kid in the 80’s…so…my favorite thing was the cartoons! Man…they don’t make ‘em like they used to.

I like the music of the 80’s, but my dad was a rocker in the 80s and I know my parents would get a total kick out of something like this!

My Favorite thing about the 80’s was making up dance routines to Madonna songs with my sisters. We used brushes as microphones. Those were some fun times!

Those were the days, all decked out in my parachute pants, with a neon shirt, skinny tie, and matching earrings. Teasing my hair as big as it would get and plastering it with Aqua Net. Then off to the mall to check out the long haired guys that hung out there on Friday night. Loved the hair bands or the 80’s!
