I had an interesting conversation with a reader, who also happens to be my hair stylist. (Yes, the hair thief who took 4 inches of my hair)
She said she signed up for some online coupons and started to receive a ton of email to her husband’s email address. She wasn’t really sure which one it was, but she started receiving upwards of 100 emails a day. While I personally make it a point to sign up for everything before I publish it on the blog, there are times when you just can’t tell. It may look legitimate but could be SPAM.
I highly recommend you keep a separate email account for your coupons and freebies. I also highly recommend GMAIL because it will automatically filter out all that SPAM. You can sign up for gmail totally free and it has plenty of storage.
The other nice thing about having a separate account is when you are ready to look at coupons and freebies, they are all in one place. This way you won’t become overwhelmed with coupons.
Just remember to check your separate email account!
Do you have any recommendations for good FREE email accounts that filter SPAM?

I setup a separate email a few weeks ago and it really works well. Like you said when you want to look at your coupons you go to your separate email, keeps things simple and organized.

Thanks for this post and it’s great advice! Many of the freebie offers do end up emailing stuff out to you and it’s nice to have it all in a seperate account. Also, I appreciate the fact that you try to test everything before posting it. I am also a blogger and that is my policy. I really want my readers to know that I’ve done it, tried it and now I am recommending it. Thanks for doing the same!
