Rite Aid has introduced a new rewards program. I haven’t exactly decided how much impact the program will have.
So it looks like once you spend a $1,000.00 (if you don’t get prescriptions) you get 20% off. I guess it really depends on whether this counts before or after coupons, like the grocery store.
Here are the details from Rite Aid’s Website.
Program Details:
EARN POINTS EVERY TIME YOU SHOP
Earn one point for every dollar you spend on nonprescription purchases.
Earn 25 points for every prescription you purchase.
THE MORE POINTS YOU EARN, THE MORE REWARDS YOU’LL GET:
For every 125 points** a one-time, 10% off shopping pass
500 points 10% off all non-prescription points purchases everyday
500 points free health screenings
1,000 points 20% off all non-prescription points purchases every day
ENJOY EVERYDAY BENEFITS, INCLUDING:
Members-only sale pricing throughout the store

@CharlesE,
Well Safeway does ask you for your ID when you sign up for their store card, to get discounts, so no difference really.
Betty Gregory says
Get rid of Wellness Your customers hate it. Have a plain sale no coupons ,no cards . I can’t understand why you’d do such a thing.it must means a lot of bookkeeping
sue says

Julie says
p.s. I scanned last week’s wellness insert and will email it to you.
Julie says
I’m in PA and have the wellness card. When you have it scanned at check out, be sure to look at the bottom of the receipt. I have gotten 4 qs on the bottom of my receipt so far–2 each of: $4/$20 and $1 off any RA brand item $1 or more. The program is well worth it! I have noticed that it seems they’re going to be moving to a CVS type of scenario in that you’ll need the card to get the sale price discount. Or maybe they’ll just have ‘bonus’ sales for the wellness cardholders? In this week’s store ad, I got a separate insert of just the wellness card sale prices for specific items.
Shannon says
Julie, I am so envious!
I live about 45 minutes from Harrisburg and we aren’t participating yet. Waiting patiently.
Julie says
I guess I’m close enough to Hbg to make the cut! I promise it’s worth the wait! I know there are sales that you’ll only get by using your wellness card (and a cashier just said the same thing to another customer today). Stack RA and/or man qs on the wellness sales for even better deals. I have to say that ALL cashiers have been on top of this program and ask me and every other customer if we have a card or are enrolled. They are really doing a good job of promoting it within the store. One great thing is that similar to CVS, they look up your phone number if you happen to forget your card.
Carol R McGonagle says
I can’t find where you activate your card I got in the mail.. I am already into rite aid with all my scripts and have been for years..
Shannon says
Carol,
If you go to the site in the link, when you go to sign up it asks you if you have a card already.
Hope that help.s

Oh its so worth it, I signed up on Friday, and got 4 printable rite aid coupons for 2.00 off any cold or cough OTC item, 1.00 off and RA item, 1.00 off any bagged candy item, and 2.00 off any beauty or skincare item! Very helpful today only spent around 20.00 for all the FAR items! here is the link:
John says
This sounds like it is going to be a rewards program worth participating in. Note that the program is currently piloting only in Buffalo, Greensboro, Harrisburg, and San Diego. It is supposed to roll-out across the country some time next year.
Michele says
I had to use riteaid.com/wellness to find it.
Jaime says
Do you think this is worth it?
Shannon says
Jaime,
If it is before coupons, YES! It will mean you will get 20% off everything, which would mean FAR items would be FREE + 20% profit.
Michele says
I heard about this yet I can’t find the option when I go to the website. Doesn’t make sense to me.
